> Access Control Ireland

Access control is a security system that has many benefits

Irish Security Group have experienced and professional members located throughout the counties in Ireland, able to provide complete design, installation and maintenance packages for access control systems, all of which can be tailored to meet the exact requirements and objectives of individual clients.

Protecting property, profits and personnel with access control

Having a properly installed access control system in your business is a great way of protecting property, personnel and visitors alike. Access control systems can provide complete, yet flexible control over a given site, regardless of how large of small it may be. The systems work by monitoring and managing access into and from a particular building, incorporating card readers or finger print readers.

Access control systems can also be used to monitor staff time and attendance.

Whatever your access control needs, an individual solution can be designed and professionally installed for you.

Single door or high security access control systems

One great advantage of access control systems is that they can be as rigid or as flexible as you need. Whether you want to allow all or particular employees access to all areas, monitor their whereabouts or require a much more comprehensive access control system that can be adjusted depending on the level of security needed for areas and employees.

ISG members employ experienced technicians to ensure all work is carried out competently and that the requirements for the system are met now and maintained din the future.

Complete control through constant monitoring

Access control in the workplace can provide many benefits. The main advantage is to stop unauthorised people simply walking into secure areas. It also eliminates the risk of people copying keys and the expense of changing locks. Electronic systems where personnel access levels can be changed in a matter of minutes.

It is possible to integrate a wide range of systems to control access, these include the use of swipe cards, proximity cards and fingerprint recognition technology.

Create a safer working environment

In addition to protecting property and saving money, access control systems can help provide complete peace of mind for staff, as they are able to work in the knowledge that they are in a safe environment. Access control used to create real time reports can be beneficial in aiding health and safety. For example in the case of a fire the system can provide detail of where staff and visitors are in a site at any given time to aid evacuations. This same system can be helpful in monitoring staff attendance and time.

Management of your business premises

Areas in which particular staff can enter can be completely controlled. The advanced technology used within access control systems will automatically lock/unlock doors, as well as keeping track of valid/invalid access attempts - something that is not achievable with keys. You can change or completely remove entry access immediately with automated access control systems.

Wireless Access Control

There is growing interest in the innovative wireless technology within the security industry, but what are the real advantages of a wireless access control system over the hard wired equivalent that has been tried and tested over the years?

How does a wireless access control system work?

Wireless systems work by eliminating the need for electronic wiring between the access control portal and main control panel. Transceivers are used instead, one at the entry portal and the other at the main control panel, RF signals are transmitted between the transceivers, they are capable of transmitting signals through walls and ceilings. This means that getting a wireless access control system installed involves much less work such as ripping through walls to accommodate wires - saving time and money. The range that signals can be transmitted is usually over 200 feet, for this reason they are normally used for small - medium sized businesses, not very large organisations.
